Within this post I will show you how to install a very useful bundle of programs for doing some diagnostic/coding within your BMW (thanks Marc for letting me know about it).

Within this bundle you will be able to download and install the following BMW coding/scan programs:

– Inpa 5.0.6 (with English script files & Support for F-series)
– EDIABAS 7.3.0
– NCS Expert (with English menus and buttons, and NCS Dummy Profile pre-installed)
– NCS Dummy 4.0.1
– Tool32 4.0.3
– WinKFP 5.3.1
– Integrated SP-DATEN v53.3
– BMW Coding Tool v2.5.0 (for use as an alternative to NCS Dummy, or to update DATEN files as new ones become available)
– USB Drivers for cable

 

The only requirement before installing it, is to have in your Windows computer the following feature turned on:

.NET framework 3.5

 

Installation

Go to this site and download the zip file with the bundle:

Once executed the setup.exe you will have all those programs installed & configured!

 

Fixes

I only had a problem and it was with the program BMW Coding Tool v2.5.0. When trying to execute it I was getting this error:

In order to fix it you have to download this rar file:

Copy it within the directory C:Windows\SYSWOW64\ and execute the following command within a Windows CMD as Administrator:

Regsvr32.exe C:Windows\SYSWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX

Once done you will be able to open the program as expected! 💪🏻

 

To finish this post I will give you a recommendation of a OBD cable. I’ve been using a K+DCAN cable for a long time and never had any issue.
