Trackday Calafat 16/02/2020 by Trackrat

I was very very motivated to drive the “official” DCUP TTR (the 320i E36) on Calafat for testing it before the start of the season on June.

DCUP = Desguaces CUP

TTR = from Trash To Racecar

Unfortunately and after a very long Friday and Saturday (I only slept 2 hours or less) changing all the engine wiring harness of the 320i due to a cut out which cause a firing on it, the DCUP car was not performing properly:

Here the new wiring harness and the old one (what a f*cking shitty job to check all the connectors and cables 😫)

5:30am calling the crane… 😩

So finally I had to drive the M3 to Calafat in order not to loose the money of the trackday. The M3 was not in its best moment, it had small tires on rear 215/40-17 and bigger ones in front wheels 235/40-17 (tires from 2002).

With that shitty setup I managed to enjoy a lot during the trackday, I tried to go fast and do a good time but was impossible so finally I desist and started to drift a bit just to know where was the limit of my hands 😅

I could link 2 curves drifting the M3 and it was my first time, I was totally scare but while drifting I was remembering the good advice of my friend Jurpelio which was; “cuando derrapa pie contra chapa”; “when it drifts pedal to metal”

And it worked properly 😆

It was an awesome day with all my friends (some gaylords were missing BTW):

Some of them were cheating, specially… 👨🏼‍🦳 Doing a lot of laps without stopping and breaking the ♻️DCUP♻️ laws… 🙈 (SANCIÓN!)

Those cheats that I was mentioning before, as you can imagine, paid off, so Chatarren won the Trackrat’s Iron Cup with the maximum number of laps in the circuit during the 4 hours of the trackday 👨🏼‍🦳💪🏻
